In certain circumstances, such as when making inquiries or submitting applications, you may be required to provide some personal information. The purpose of this personal information is outlined in the relevant sections of the form or on this webpage. Our department is committed to ensuring that all personal data is handled in accordance with the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance.

Under the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance, any individual has the right to request access to or correction of personal data provided to our department. Such requests must be made using the Data Access Request Form (Form OPS003 issued by the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data) or the Data Correction Request Form. Once completed, please submit the form by mail to the following address: 14/F, Civil Engineering and Development Department Building, 101 Princess Margaret Road, Ho Man Tin, Kowloon, Attention: Data Protection Officer. According to Section 20(3)(e) of the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance, if the application is not made using the Data Access Request Form, the request for access to data may be refused. Data Access Request Forms and Data Correction Request Forms can be obtained at the reception desk on the ground floor of the Civil Engineering and Development Department Building. Each District Office also has Data Access Request Forms available, and you can also download them from the website of the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data (web address: http://www.pcpd.org.hk/english/publications/files/Dforme.pdf)
